Look for a plug near the front bumper where an extention cord would plug into it.

You might have it regardless if the cable is there. There should be some sort of plug under the engine where the original cord is plugged into. Not sure where it is at though. Unless the winters are really cold, the block heater isnt really necessary. When the truck is plugged in, you will notice a bit of an increase in your electric bill.

They definetly help in the winter. They work best when you plug the engine up right after you shut it off while it is still warm.

It's been awhile, but I'm pretty sure all the International diesels have the block heater. I had a 6.4 08 model that didn't come with the heater plug. I went to a local International truck dealer and bought the unit for around 30 bucks. Put it on myself (wasn't that hard) and saved a bunch of money by not getting it through Ford. I had the part # but I can't find it. There is a plug close to the starter with a cap on it, just remove the cap and plug it up. It's really tight quarters and I fiddled with it for 30 minutes before I figured it out that it only plugs in 1 way so rotated 180 degrees and it plugged right up.

Is this the same for the 150's as well? I know all ford diesels come with one even though the plug might not be there just not sure where to look for the spots to plug the cord into on either trucks.

On the 7.3L they plug in for the heater (if equipped and no plug there) was above the oil filter can remember exact location. Then the plug used to run down the inside of the driver frame rail in a hard enclosed tube right up to the front bumper, Then I had mine come out and tie onto the tow hook.
