I traded my 2010 F250 for a 2011 150.

If you need the capability of the truck, go for it.

If you just want a big truck and diesel, save your money.

MPG is horrible in the newer diesels unless you remove the dpf and put a tuner on it. Be aware you will loose the nice warranty ford gives the diesels.

Gas cost more, maintenance cost more, insurance and registration cost more. If you are going to daily drive it don't do it.

These new engines(diesels) are not really design for daily driving, if they are not pulling something they will brake due to not operating them to where they should be.

yeah that is true. a common misconception about diesels is that they are designed for daily driving. this is definitely not the case.. its sad that the majority of people who drive diesels use them for grocery getting and not their intended purpose.. its just not good for them, yet those people want to bitch about maintenance costs

Diesels in general are fine for daily driving.

Just not the work truck like diesels, ala F250, or chevy and dodge equivalent.

with the dpfs the harder you work them the less regens you have. Just driving in town mine would do it every 100 miles, gets old real quick. Hiway i could go about 300-400 before it would regen. Pulling a load I could go 700 without one
