That's good then. My neighbors truck is the exact same with the rusted out bottom of the bed. We just to a 3/16 inch piece of steel and I welded it to the bed. Dents to pound out shouldn't be that difficult.

ya i wouldnt do it man, I just bought a 1979 with almost no motor problems and one little spot of rust for 500... These old fords are everywhere and for the most part not many people want them so you can find them cheap, Where abouts are you?(state)

Where do you live? In PA they sell so fast! I have am having a hard time to get one.

Im in SD and they are EVERYWHERE, The only thing i have had a hard time finding is en EXT Cab, but single cabs are as easy to find as foodstamps in Walmart..

Hahahahahaha. I actually saw a extended cab f250 custom 4x4 had a 400, for $4,500. Emailed the guy within 20 minutes I saw it on craigslist he sold it. I was pissed.

Was it in Bentonville AR? I saw one in primer with a 4 speed on Craigslist.

monetarily? unless you completely restore it to numbers matching and sell it through barret jackson, i would have to say no. i made the same jump on my 79 and ive done the crawling around making a shopping list of whats done. i havent been able to come in under $2k for a complete restoration for mine not counting paint and motor. keep in mind thats everything new. bushings, badging and what not. ill never get what i will be investing in it. for cool factor, cant beat em

Restoring a car is a labor of love. That's another way of saying that the guy who restores a car will effectively be compensated at $4.00 per hour when it comes time to sell.

Its better to be on the other side of that deal.
