Default wiring

i started a renew of a 1984 f150 base 6 cyc 300 cid automatic i have replace every electric part under the hood even pickup coil . but still run very rough and spits out black smoke . did pressure check on head. no leaks. as i was looking around distributor i found wires that connect to ignition modules with no insulation so i am assuming that i have more wires in the harness that are bare also . i am planning to rewire the ignition from distributor to the control assembly. would like to find wiring diagram or any help with a easier way of doing this .
