Default whats your thoughts?

86 f150 i6 4x4 granny 4 speed. when i put it in 4low only front tires spin but not back when i have it in 2wd rear wheel drive works fine. Im thinking shift fork but what do your guys have to say?

sounds like something to do with your transfer case. do you kno what T-case u have? 205 hopefully.

its gotta be the t-case. i dont see why it would be the fork because u are selecting what gear your in already. idk i could be wrong but it could just be a outward gear when selected in 4wd is bad. and not it 2wd.

Are you sure one of the rear wheels was not spinning?
Try this....... Unlock the front hubs and put it in 4L and see if the rear wheels move the truck.
Dose 4H work?

I have worked on drive trains for a lot of years now and I can't get my mind around how this is even possible but just the same the only thing I can think of that could be wrong is a bad transfer case.

i guess was hoping it could be maybe just something i can replace in the transfer case but ill just have to save up the money and head to a junk yard i couldnt figure it out neither thanks for the try guys
