were is the relay for my fuel pump

Default were is the relay for my fuel pump

Hi to who ever can help me. I just was givin a 1986 ford f 150 2 wheel drive. It has the 302 in it. I'm not getting power to the fuel pump can any one tell me were the relay is for that. It all so has a fuel pump in the fuel tank i was told but cant get to the wires to check them. I all so checked out the fuel pump shutoff switch and that wasint triped. She starts if i spray a little eather in the intake.

The relay should be coming off your air filter box bracket area toward the cab, under a rectangular black plastic box (bunch of wires running into it) Should be 2 hex bolts holding it in. there should be 2 relays under there, mine is the green one. I had a problem with one of the wires corroding that ran to the relay, it corroded so bad it fell out of the relay.

If that isn't the problem you might have to put a meter on the fuelpump wiring to see if ya have power to it. I had enough room to reach up on the driversside to get to the fuelpump wires, there is 2 snaps i think, one on each side of the wireharness. As soon as ya unsnap them which are pretty easy as long as you can reach it, it slides off real easy. If ya have to check with a meter send me a private message, (i used a little flashlight and a mirror -helps alot) I have an '88 f150, but my dad had a '86 f150 (i think the 302) that was about the same thing. hope it helps ya
