Weird Brake issue
I have a 1982 F150 with the 300 six cylinder engine.
I have replaced ALL of the brake components except for the actual brake lines. This includes:
pads and calipers and rotors / wheel bearings in the front
Shoes, wheel cylinders, hardware in the back
power booster and master cylinder on top.
here is my problem.....
replaced it all, bench bled the master cylinder, bled all lines, and yet, there is NO pedal pressure. The truck stops.... the brakes work... just NO pedal pressure, pedal goes all the way to the floor when the truck is running.....
but the brakes work..... if the truck is shut off.... I have pedal pressure...
I also put a new vacuum hose on when I installed the booster.
I am truly bumfuzzled......

You need to recheck the adjustment on the rear brakes and then if that doesnt cure it rebleed the system with a pressure bleeder Bubbabud
