Default Truly the last straw.....

Hey guys. So, the saga continues. I am at the last. Put in new in tank pump. Now truck won't start. Will start only when I spray starter fluid and runs for a few seconds. The in-tank pump works only when I unplug the hi pressure pump. If I unplug the in-tank pump, then unplug and re-plug the hi pressure pump it only works. I can't get them both to run at the same time. I had them both running at the same time for a while yesterday, but it still didn't start. I figured the timing was off when I put in distributor. I have done distributor many times now. I think its right. Now both pumps won't run at same time.

The previous owner removed the selector valve. I have it and plugged it in (minus fuel lines). I removed the rear tank, the lines to it were disabled since I got truck anyway. When I switch the fuel switch to rear, the hi pressure pump will work (probably because there is no fuel pump there). If I switch it to front, hi pressure won't work unless I unplug the in tank pump. The issue seems to be that both pumps won't run together, but will run independent of each other. I can't take much more I have given all I can guys. I have pushed my skill and my brain to the max with this truck. The only thing I can think of at this point is to convert it to carb. I cleaned the relay and tried playing with the connections. It seems to work. Its almost as if there isn't sufficient power to push both pumps. Funny.....when both did work together yesterday, still no start, only for a few seconds with starter fluid. I pulled the line to the hi pressure pump and routed it to a bucket. It is pulling gas. I can hear when the tank pump goes.

Anything at all I can do at this point? What will I need to convert to carb? I am assuming I need lower intake manifold, upper, carb, distributor, ecu? Can I keep fuel pump? Do I need mechanical? Thanks.

Ok, so I read up on a carb to efi swap and everyone says no, no, no. Its too damn expensive and hard. So I guess its not an option then all I can think of is getting an entirely new full harness. Any idea where I can get an entire full wire harness for this truck? I can try to rig the high pressure pump to a power source and see if the low runs like that. then I can see if it will work with both pumps working properly. If it isn't the pumps then where else am I left? Maybe bad injectors or PCM??? I guess the next thing to do is to rip the manifold off and see why the is no Schrader valve. Then I can go to junkyard and replace entire fuel rail with one that has the valve with injectors. Maybe next a PCM. A harness for the entire fuel system would be fine if I see that. That is all I can come up with now. After that, and as we speak, I am truly fuc*ed. I needed this damn truck for the lawn business I was trying to do after getting laid off. Nothing goes well these days fellas. I will have another beer now.
