I have an 85 f150 with the 300 3 speed auto. this is the first time i've owned a ford an i really don't know much about them, is there a tranny that would bolt up to my 300 with maybe a 4 speed? that 3 speed is screamin at 65 mph. Thanks

 

Your rear end gear is causing the screaming.....probably geared to go out in the fields 4:11 or 4:56. The automatic has nothing to do with it.
You might find tag on the housing listing the ratio.
