Trying to identify the transmission that is in my truck any help would be great.
78 f150
351m
17 bolts.

I can possibly have a picture in a day or two.

Hi Seth, am thinking AOD. E4OD came a few years later. Check with auto parts for pan gasket, match it up, unless of course PICS come along for you. Guess there is a possibility of a C-6.

The 17 bolt should be the C-6 tranny, the AOD has 14 bolts and is a overdrive tranny.

Yes it is a C6 No pictures to prove it but all research points to a c6.
