Default Small rust in Bed 76 F150

Needing some advice on fixing a few small holes in the bed of a 76 F150. Overall truck is in good shape, does have a few small rust holes in the bed (mostly size of penny, few as big as a quarter). Was thinking of just grinding out the rust and using Eastman Rust Encapsulator over the voids. Letting dry and filling with Bondo. Then adding second coat of R.E.
Would like to get a spray in bed liner at some point, thinking of Line X. Not all that familiar with minor body work like this, any advice is REALLY APPRECIATED. Thanks.

Without seeing it, hard to say, but this much I know, rust is hard to beat. I imagine the underneath side of the bed is also rusty so this must be addressed. Might consider removing the bed & having the floor, top and underneath sand blasted then cutting and welding in metal where the holes were, but if your giong for a quick cheap way, bondo will work for a while.

Thanks for the reply. I was considering taking the bed off, that is more than likely the route I will go now.
