One of my first upgrades was fog lights in the grill and aftermarket headlights from lmc. These are a glass lense housing that uses modern replaceable bulbs. Light output with these and a heavy duty harness is a bit more than double stock lighting. Price was under $50 for housing with included bulbs. And i think $18 for the harness that includes relays.

My tailgate was shot so i retrofitted a 96 tailgate to work on my 86. It requires the 96s strikers and hinges and a hand full of washers because the 96s gate is a bit narrower than the 86s opening.
I just picked up a gas filler neck from a 96 f150. This will fix the having to pump slowly while getting gas. Also scored a set of 31-10.50-15 bfg at tires from amazon for $660 delivered. Local shops wanted over $850 for a set. Need to get the rotors turned to get rid of braking shimmy.
Also looking for a zf5 5spd tranny. Bench seat from a mids 2000s f250 with the fold down center . And am gonna convert from the feedback carb and ignition to a regular 1bbl and ds2 ignition. And the exhaust manifolds from a fuel injected 300/6. They flow much better. With these mods i should go from 13mpg to about 17-20mpg.

Man I wish I lived near you. I would love to watch how you do all those converts so I could do it too. Don't know much about changing things, but I am good at fixing, and diagnosing. Should have learned some of that stuff when I was younger. Oh well... Love that truck though. It looks way better than mine does. A truck like that around here would have went for $3000 easy. Congratulations on a spectacular buy!
Thanks. If you want to learn to do stuff just do it. Its not overly difficult. Some things seemed scary to me before too but as long as you know what you are trying to get done and how to work a ratchet and screwdriver. Its not that bad.
