Default Removing Spray Paint from Chrome

I bought some paint thinner to try and remove some spray paint from the who spray painted my 86 f150 before I bought it and literally sprayed everything. Took me hours to get the over spray off the windows alone. Is there a better solvent to use than paint thinner for the chrome trimming around the winshields/trim/door handles?

Fine grade steel wool is safe for glass and chrome. Get some 0000. It will be much faster than paint thinner.

Along with the "grease", some type of liquid will also be helpful. Almost any liquid will help.
Some specific liquid may be best - I just don't recall which one. Possibly WD-40.

PB Blaster maybe? I mean, I already have paint thinner so using that and the steel wool might be more than enough.

Here's the only image I have at the moment as I'm at work

I'll add more after I'm finished!
