Default Power window doesn't work

Hi! I am new here, just bought a 1986 F150 4x4 Lariat XLT. The passenger power window doesn't work, either from it's switch or the drivers side switch. Any ideas? Also have a pinhole leak in the heater core. Think I canget to that from the glove box. Is that true? Looks like a great forum!

Thanks,
Nick

Do you hear any noise in the door when you try the switch, if you do the three plastic rollers need replaced in the motor, if no noise, remove the door panel, unplug the motor & check with a test light to see if you are getting current to the motor when you activate the switch , if yes then the motor may need replaced.

No noise, no nothing, will check the voltage. Wonder it the wires go to the drivers side switch first, then to the passenger door switch.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks Klricks! As far as my heater core issue is, got the old one out, no problem. Finding one that actually fits, problem. They say it fits and it won't. Going to see if I can just get the original brass one rebuilt.

On the heater core issue . Check the production date of your truck . Should be on the door frame for date of production, this can make a difference . I know of someone who has a 85 that went through this. But because it is so early in production ( SEP 85) the only thing that would fit is a 1984 heater core. If yours is a 86, it might take a 85 style depending on date and what options you had or did have.

It was the motor. Got one for $40 easy to put in! Now it works. Got a replacement heater core on the way.
