please help!!

Default please help!!

I have an 86 5.0 efi and it is almost dying at idle then picks back up. I heard a clicking coming from this and i dont know what it is. Can anybody tell me?

My best guess could be fuel pump relay

Agree with Ghost... replace that relay and go from there..

Those are all various pollution control solenoids.
It is not unheard of to hear them clicking from time to time.

Each solenoid is fed by a common +12VDC RED wire.
The other colored wires go directly to the computer.

1. EGR Control --------------- Yellow wire
2. EGR Vent ------------------ Dark Green wire
3. Thermactor Air Bypass --- White/Red wire
4. Thermactor Air Diverter -- White/Black wire
(Not listed in any particular order - ID them by wire color)

Probably would be best to run a code check / diagnostic self test before replacing parts.

the air bypass could be getting stuck and if your hearing clicking the coincides with the idle going up and down from those switches chances are thats the culprit. you can disassemble the bypass and clean it. but you could also tap it with a hammer and loosen it
