Default Just introducing myself

Hey all, new here, just bought an 85 Lariat that needs some TLC and will probably have my share of questions in the future.

I got a sweet deal really. The truck has 88k original miles per the title and has been sitting for the last 12 years. The guy's nephew put a carb on wrong and caught the top of the engine on fire and so this guy bought and was in the process of replacing everything under the hood when other things came up and he stopped working on it. He put a new break booster and reservoir, PS pump, water pump, air pump (which I will probably get rid of), holly carb, distributor, wires, belts, hoses, etc... Then he has many body parts that he had ready to put on to fix it up nice that came with it, like an extra set of doors.

I have quite a bit of work ahead of me, first and foremost finishing his work on the breaks and getting the engine to fire up. I will try to post some pictures this weekend.

LOL, I just pulled a 87 F150 4x4 Carb 351 out of a field after 11 years. Replaced everything except the power steering pump and steering wheel. lol
