Ignition problem 77F150 cranks will not start
I have replaced the ignition switch, starter solenoid, and control module. When I try to start it and let go of the key it acts like it wants to start. Another day I tried to start it and it started but had a heavy lobe like there were some dead cylinders would die when I let off the gas. It started great last week, took it to work and same as before cranks but no start.

On the days it will not start did it rain? Might want to inspect cap and rotor for condensation and wear also reseat the coil wire, check coil for rust on the studs. Just throwing ideas, Hope this helps
... I replaced the pick-up assembly on the distributor and it started right up. I did replace the rotor and cap as it was about the only other thing I didn't replace... I tested all the other parts I bought and one of the control modules was bad, that's why it kept cranking even when I turned it off and pulled the key. Hope this helps someone else out that may come across the same problem.
