hub questions

Default hub questions

i have a 78 dana 44 solid axle im putting on my 91 but im having a hard time getting the 4wd hub off anybody have an idea or link

I think on the dana 44 they are held in with a flat coil spring.The spring
has a notch in the end ,use a small flat screw driver to pry the end up and
out of its groove. Go to off-road.com and serch dana 44 rebuld,you might find what you need there.

yes...therse a snap ring...on the axle(sometimes some people dont put it back in) and there is also a metal ring around the inside of the hub ... i helped a guy on here once before with some questions he had... heres the link... if you have anymore question just ask.... ill try to hunt down some info on it if you need more
