I have a 86 f150 and am looking to replace the auto hubs with manual ones. When i went to go buy some they said that i have to get a converson kit for the transfer case also is this true.

 

Depends. If it's auto hubs, then no. I don't remember ever seeing auto hubs on that era truck, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. If it's full time four wheel drive, then yes, you'll have to modify the t case.
