Default hey yall-

just joined this forum, Ive got a 1979 f150 I recently acquired, and anyways I'm looking to replace my windshield as mine is pretty well fubar.

I would greatly appreciate any opinions regarding whether or not trying to save a few bucks by investing in a used windshield to replace mine with is a worthy endeavor or not? totally stupid idea, should i just wait until can afford a new one?

also curious if anyone knows what all other ford trucks, if any happen to have the same windshield as what my 79 f150 ranger has?
thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!

It's pretty easy to go down to the local glass shop and get a new windshield installed. They'll do all the removal, reseal, and trim work for you and you'll have no leaks. Trying some silicone on your own is not advisable. I had an older car done and it was only $160 or so.
