Thanks Jayz. I agree. I think the 3/4 is the right one. I went today to another advanced auto and they don't stock it either, so I guess I will have to order it. I will definitely let you know how it works out though, and I greatly appreciate all the help from everyone. Have a great week and I will get back to you all soon!

No biggie. I tell ya i grew up a chevy kid. Knew everything about em. Got a little ranger back in 96. One of the toughest things i ever had. Found my 86 150 at a yard sale 2 years ago for $500. Its a 4x4 300 with the np435 granny tranny. This thing is a beast. I pulled a dump truck (empty) out of a ditch with it. Have hauled 3200 pounds of stone in it (have a pic of receipt with weight on it ). Have spent about 800 on replacement parts so far but its ran strong and fired instantly since day one. Wont ever sell this one.

Start a new thread with some pictures of that. Like "Show us what your OLD F-150 hauled"

Absolutely believe it Jayz. I'm a ford man through and through. Never owned anything else and i'm 41 years old. I'm in an 86 also, but with a c6 and only 2wd. But it only has 64,000 on it, and paid $250 for it. I've mostly had to do a lot of body work because of where I live. Lots of salt on the road from winter driving here. But I love it and could not part with it. It took me about seven years to finally find one I could afford to get and I could work on it forever as long as the frame holds out. When you do the post, could you post a link for it? Would love to see it!

Alright guys, I ordered the 3/4 inch one and it was too small still so I wrapped some electrical tape around the diameter and it fit that way so at least it is working correctly now. Thanks so much to all who contributed to help. God bless!

I had to get a smaller breather too as the hole was too small for the ones designed for 1.25".

You can get a new grommet for that. They are usually sold in the help department of Advanced or Auto ZOne.

Thank you tempest for the info. I actually never thought of that, maybe there is one that is a little oversized so it will fit. When I ordered this, there was two types of this size. One is just like the pic that you posted which is the one I got, and the other was like it but with another spout coming out of the side of it, and the spout that goes into the valve cover did not have the bent metal tab in it. Not sure why they have two types, but just wondering if that one is the perfect fit. But without the tab it does not have anything to trap the condensation. Strange.
