Help With Condensation
As far as the tic you hear. Mine did that too. My emissions arent all there. With this system if the emissions arent right it doesnt advance the timing. I think base timing should be 10*. Most people say timing by vac you should pull about 28-30 on the gage. There is a ignition swap out there called a dsII or ds2 swap . From what i was told , you need to watch the pil filter too. Motorcraft and purolator have a anti drainback valve in them. Some dont and allow the oil to drain out of the filter. Basically leading to a dry start.
Tempest, that is the same exact setup they sold me for the breather replacement. I like the idea of changing over to the closed one, I am just not sure how to go about it with the vacuum lines and all. How does it change them if at all? Also, the video you uploaded I was wondering if you found the timing marks? I found mine finally. I had to use sandpaper on the balancer till I found the very small thin line. And the timing marks are on the left side of the engine under the alternator. Its not the ones that are by the drivers side front. Just for FYI.
Jayz, where im from the only one breather they have in stock like that has a chevy emblem on it and it cost about $40.00. Where could I find one of those? Even rock auto has the setup I have and not one of yours.
Also Jayz, could you explain what you mean by you need to watch the pil filter too. Motorcraft and purolator have a anti drainback valve in them. What is a PIL filter? Sorry if that is a stupid question, Just not sure what that is and if I should look for something when I finally find the breather. Also that air cleaner you have, I had a 85 f150 about 16 years ago and I put that same exact filter on it. All of a sudden now they don't sell it here. All we have here is advanced auto and their selection of after market sucks.
He meant to say OIL filter. WIX is a good brand as well. Any filter over 4$ will have an anti drain back valve most of the time.
Here is a Filter that should fit with a new breather as well. Yes you will have to order it but patience is a virtue. I am going to order these as well. So I can let you know if they fit.

Sorry, I should have noticed that it was a misspell
Not thinking! So I think I know the problem I am having. I went back to advanced and bought the 1 inch which looks exactly like the pic you listed. I tried putting it in and it was exactly the same size as the hole in my valve cover without the grommet but would not go in. So I was thinking. The truck I have was manufactured in Canada. Could it be that the hole is metric? The sell a 3/4 inch one also, but they do not have it in stock there. Was thinking it could also be that. Just wondering what you guys think before I order one, since I totally forgot to tell you guys that it was manufactured in Canada.

I just did my 3rd order from lmc. Its great. Some of the parts (body ) are thinner but its nice to basically be able to order everything except frame cab and seat from one place.
I doubt manufacture location matters. The trucks ate the same. You do need a grommet. The 3/4" is the right one. May need to rub oil around the grommet to insert it easily and avoid damage to the rubber.
