1980 302 v8, rebuilt carb ,new fuel pumps, full tune up, timing set, ..

She starts great her first 3 times and then starting after that is hard it will take 2-3 times and just drag, any help appreciated. thanks do much

Not fully understanding. Its very slow to crank? Or its turns over normally but doesn't start up.

 

it just takes forever to turn over but yes it will then start, after 2-3 long times, again at first she starts right up but after 2 times it goes back to very hard to turn over.

I'm not certain if you are describing a warm or hot start condition or just a simple battery issue. Try this, turn on headlights and beep horn as you engage the starter, if the horn stops or lights dim out, then its a simple battery replacement. If the horn and lights still work as the starter is engaged, then its an issue with the starter or wiring to it.
