Default Glove box

I recently bought a few small parts from lmc truck. There are two parts that I can not seem to figure out how to install. One is the glove box springs. I bought two springs and two rubber bumpers. The bumpers went in fine, but I can't figure out how the springs go on to the dash or glove box door.
The other part is the rubber bumper for the fuel doors. The catalog show it goes on the fuel door. There is not a hole on either of my fuel doors to put the bumpers into. Maybe there is not supposed to be one there. I have a 1977 f150 2wd with two rectangular fuel doors.
If anyone could post a pic or give any ideas with their glove box springs or fuel door bumper I would appreciate it. I will post a pic of the parts.

Thanks for the pic! My dash does not have that plastic piece that is in the middle of the spring. My dash does not have a hole there either to mount the spring or the piece in the middle. My dash does have that big empty hole right below the spring that is on yours also. So I am assuming my glove box is not set up for the spring.

You might be right, i guess if ya really want the spring in there you could drill a hole and find one of those plastic clips. After thinkin about it im not sure if my 79's got a spring or not
