Flatbed 4x4 build thread
Well have been thinking and am just about wrapped up with what's going to happen with this truck. My wiring harness is shot and I've found about 2800 dollars worth of frame damage to the front beam. The bumper had about 14 washers on the drivers side just so it would look like it lined up. So my build is going to be put on hold until I get to my duty station and I can get my truck to a place where I can do something radical with it.
When I get to where I can build it I plan to take 3 or 4 trucks and Frankenstein them.
New build checklist.
Get it to a workshop where I can work with it.
Get donor trucks
Restore old body panels/ remove flatbed from frame
The truck when finished completely is going to consist of 3/4 ton axles under a 79 shortbed frame, 86 cab and flatbed, with a 2012 ecoboost 6 cyl and trans and transfer case. Until then the poor girl is gonna sit.
