I have ’77 F-150 with a 351M and I’m getting these headers for it http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HOK-6902-1HKR/ . My question is what kind of exhaust set up should I do? (I use my truck for mainly driving on the weekends, some off-roading and some towing) The collector is 3 inches so should I just run all the way a 3 inch exhaust or may be 3.5? Single or dual set up and what muffler should I get?
For the single or dual set up just letting you guys know I like it when the exhaust tip sticks out before the rear tire and I have a secondary tank along the driver side so I can only have the exhaust tips on the right side. And for the muffler what is the best sounding muffler out there to make my truck sound like a mean truck?

 

You gotta go dual exhaust with new Headers, mine is Hedman Headers, 2.5 inch, flow masters out the rear.

 

If your exhaust diameter is to big or to small you will lose low end torque.3 in is pushing it so stay with that. And if you want loud, flowmaster super 10 or glasspacks. Ir just go straight. The 351 sounds nice straight.

 

I've got a 85 351 when I bought it it had no exhaust past the catalytic converter I put a red hot muffler on it I don't remember the brand it made it a Lil quieter but its still loud as Hell my neighbors hate me its that loud
