Default carburetor question

Looking to replace the carburetor in my 1977. It has a 6.6 400 in it Either wanting to go with an edelbrock or a holley. What size carburetor do I need to look for?

well you want another 2-barrel carb unless you're going to upgrade the intake manifold or run an "adapter plate"

I stand by the Motorcraft 2150. Reliable and easy to rebuild. If i had to make a choice about the aftermarkets, from my experience the Edelbrock is less "fussy" than the Holley.
