Default Cab fuel tank

I just purchased a 1977 F150 that has a fuel tank in the cab. It needs to be cleaned out and I was wondering if I should just remove it? Any thoughts?

That would definitely be the easiest way, I know there are places you can send them to have them boiled out and coated. Not sure what exactly you were looking to do, but removal definitely gives you more access to it and makes it much easier than trying to do it inside the cab.
