Default broken speedometer

I have a 1984 F150 with the straight 6 and 3 speed with overdrive and the speedometer gear is all torn up and I can't find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find one as well as other parts for my truck? I know about lmc truck.... ordering a few panels from them but they don't sell mechanical parts.

Have you tried a u-pull-it yard. If nothing else you will get a tooth count on the stock get you need

i actually managed to find the only one left in the state of michigan.... lol it was at a junk yard... it had come in that day hence why it wasnt gone yet.... found a bunch of neat stuff on that truck like a class 5 or bigger bumper hitch that i plan on taking off of it. the hitch is so massive that they have the entire back end of the truck supported by the box and its not hurting it at all.

What gear are you talking about, the drive gear, driven gear or the speedo head gear? Both the speedometer drive gear, on the transmission output shaft, and the driven gear, on the speedometer cable, are both available online or most transmission shops. The head gear should be available at a speedometer calibration shop.

I found out the LMC truck catalog does carry the speedo drive gear incase it breaks again... so thats good to know... they have every single part for my truck... which is gonna be helpful in the repair/restore process
