Hey guys I have a 83 f150 and I was wondering if there are any brake upgrades for the front end. Since I have owned the truck I have had to put 3 new calipers for both sides. I'd really appreciate if anyone knows something to get back to me on here . Thanks

 

I don't know what type of brake upgrades you are thinking about but you may want to head on over to summit racing and check out their brake sets. Also your calipers should not be seizing that many times. Make sure on install you buy a slide pin lubricant. One other common problems with older fords is the proportioning valve. often times these will fail and lock up the front end ruining rotors and calipers. Though it is hard to find a brand new proportioning valve you may be able to go and find one at a junkyard. hope that helps!

 

Reason why they lock up so much is because they are known for doing that all the time. I havnt checked summit yet il try there. Thanks a lot
