Default Brainstorming clutch hose issues

'84 302 4 speed 4x4

Header broke, got new header off LMC and installed fantastic.

My clutch hose goes down and connects directly under the header so right now my clutch pedal I just goes down then I have to pull it back up because it's melting it the hose and making me lose my fluid.

Is there a wrap I can protect a rubber or plastic hose from so much heat?

Is there such a thing as metal hoses I can run just from underneath the header then connect it to a regular hose?

Should I try to take the little nipple off the reciever and have a short metal tube sticking out from under the header?

My wife might finally win "time for a new truck" argument because I'm not about to replace that hose everyday.

Thanks

you should be able to fine a steel braided line for that.

You can also buy "header wrap" and use it in the area of that hose so that some of the heat is cut down.
