battery cable
its hard to tell what has happened here with that.. a big THANK YOU!!!!!, just need to figure out how to get the cable to fit on that bolt now...I would assume it would mount up directly to the block, then the transmission bracket and wire loom? Ford must have switched locations on this midyear.. I am going to give it another try.. Again THANK YOU and THANK YOU for the detailed pictures that was a big help to me and others out there!!
I would make sure that the small wire from the battery is connected properly in the harness.
Also there is a ground wire that comes out of a harness going through the firewall to the dash instruments etc. It's attached to a stud on the upper engine block. That stud is located on the back of the engine near the drivers side valve cover.
Very important that these 2 grounds are properly connected along with be main cable on the block of course. Most components are grounded via the harness and block rather than the frame ground.

went out and took off the air intake and did a lot of body contortions and ..behold Zi have found it, looks to be ok so left it alone.. did find two loose fuel lines and clamped them while i was back there too... pictures below..
