Default Air filter housing no longer fits after manual choke installation.

I have a 1978 straight six which I just installed a manual choke for. My air filter housing will no longer fit now that the back of the carb is now extended about an inch. Any suggestions for what I can do?

Put the correct parts back on, of course. The original automatic choke is better for the engine anyway.

Then either wrap a soft copper tube around the header & connect it to the choke, or...

Wait for it...

...put direct-replacement manifolds on.
