86 Frankenstein
Just picked up an 86 F150 with a 351w. My issue is with some air:fuel adjustments as I'm not a "modification " kinda guy.
My truck originally had a 351w with a catalyst rated engine but it's now "cat-free", has an Edelbrock intake and Holley 1850-2 carb. Auto c6 Trans 4wd (in case y'all who can help me need to know).
when I put it in either drive or reverse and give the gas a little goose (hit the gas and let it off quickly) it'll stall out. Is this an air:fuel issue? If so, what CFM *should* I be basing my timing and numbers off of?? If needed, I don't have an issue going from a 600cfm 4bbl carb to a 2bbl. I just want the truck to run smooth and reliable.
yes, I know I need to check the vacuum lines and vacuum modulator, but once I've checked those, if I need to adjust timing and air:fuel, knowing that I have an optimized carb will help out a lot.
