Default NP435 help

Guys - I've got shift issues with my '85 F150's New Process four-speed and now have it on my workbench ... again.
This time, I'd like to find someone in western Washington state who knows how to work on them and any recommendation would be appreciated!
(I live a little SE of Seattle but willing to drive a distance to get her fixed right. Thanks!)

With the price of synchros and labor, are you sure you want to get it fixed and not just replace it?
Estimate 5000 to fix one these days

I bought a rebuild kit and replaced synchros & bearings but it's made little to no difference. My issue could be in the top (aluminum) shifter with the forks...I dunno...

Well, what's wrong with it?
Problems I used to see on the ones that were hell to shift
Synchro side clearance and the shimming of the cluster shaft for side clearance
Saw a few that were too tight on the cluster shaft and loose on the synchros
Those synchros need to have precise clearance to speed up the incoming gear correctly

I'm sure my problem lies somewhere within what you describe!
Will update this thread when I get it back from the shop and have an explanation from the tech.
Thanks much!
