Im looking at a 86 f250 6.9 diesel auto not sure if its a 2wd or a 4x4 hasn't ran Ina while guy said it ran when he parked it he's asking 1100 what do you all think

Guy says it ran when he parked it a few years ago he told me it needs the batteries charged and a few other Lil misc stuff I'm new to diesel maintenance and I was wondering what would I need to do to get it to fire up again if I bought it because I don't want to buy it and not know what to do

Diesel is a little more complex than guess. Especially when youre not used to it.

I would be worried about fuel gumming up and clogging up lines and injectors. It would probably require a top end rebuild.

Hmm I might get it anyway lol if I do get it I'm definitely going to get injector cleaner and new glow plugs

Goodmorning, I would say, put a battery in it and start the truck, then name your price. I´ve been busy with importing a same type of truck from Hacienda Heights Ca, but the grass underneath the truck was dead (so it stood there for a long time) and they wrote it needed "TLC" I decided to buy it not...... A running truck tells you everything.

That is a very good idea do u think my f150 battery could start it I don't have any spares that I could use to take up there
