just got an 86, body is imaculate, needs a new booster and master cylinder. shes gettin a top end kit from edelbrock soon so im wonderin whats a good suggestion for things i can do to the trans to make sure itll hold up. so far im thinkin about putting a shift kit in it and running a cooling line. also how do i find the right torque converter for me?

I'm assuming you have a C6 auto cause you're putting a shift kit in. The auto C6 already has a cooler. The shift kit will be nice, but the C6 is very inefficient and takes a lot of energy to run. It should hold up pretty good for a little while. You might look into dropping in an AOD tranny or 4/5 speed manual. Maybe a new rear end too. Summit racing has a lot of choices for AOD trannys.
