Anyone know where I can find a rear bumper/brackets for an 80-86 stepside? Hard to find. nothing in LMC. Will the brackets and bumper from earlier stepsides work? I can readily find 50's era bumper parts.

If you can't find one you could always take a bumper from a regular bed, cut the ends off, and cut both sides of the bumper short enough to where it looks like it belongs on a step side, then weld the two ends back on. That is unless, it is a specially shaped bumper you're looking for? Now as far as the brackets, the regular brackets should work. the only difference between a regular bed and stepside truck is the bed, the frame is the same. The bumper is bolted to the frame.
