82 150 blinker issue

82 150 blinker issue

300 straight 6, manual 4 speed. When I turn the blinkers on they do fine but when I hit the brakes, they stop blinking.
Any ideas why?

Check your grounding connections starting around the taillight area. This will happen when the circuit isn't good enough to operate both lights at the same time.
