Exclamation 81' f150

Hello all!

I am a young high school senior with a lot of questions. My first vehicle is a 1981 F150 Ranger package. I purchased this truck with my own money and got a great deal... Or I so thought.
The truck has..
-302 engine (unknown year model)
-Jeep rock crawler transmission (standard)
-terrible clutch
-no a/c
-no clear coat on paint
-dual magna flow exhaust
-fantastic sound system

This truck is a jumble of mixed and matched parts. It was created by a crazy old man with nothing better to do. It is surprisingly quick, which I like but I feel like it has a lot of potential. I'm in love with this truck it, there is something special about it. But is it worth keeping? Any input on upgrades, changes, or what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Best thing to do is to find out what you actually have and what originally came with it. I had a '83 that was like that. What does the emissions sticker under the hood or the door sticker say about your truck. Also your VIN number contains some information as well, you can take it and decode it with a LMC catalog or someone may see it and tell you it means.
