When I had my 85 I painted the grill and painted the interior then all my money went into other things and the truck was sold to a scrapper and now I miss that truck a lot

Feel free to look through all the pics in my Facebook album and feel free to add me if ya want

84olblu - I've got an 85 Reg Cab Long Bed 4X4 with the 5.8 HO & C6. She's about 3 weeks from being back on the road after about 3 months of her inside parts being on the outside. Its a long list but some of it includes the 351 being bored to about a 353, ceramic heads 4bbl double pumper (keeps changing but i think we're looking at a 750), hydraulic lifters (insert comments about solid vs. hydraulic here). Switched to an MSD ignition and when all is said and done compression will be about 10:1. Tranny has been out and rebuilt to handle the planned power and torque converter with stall spd is on order. 2 1/2 inch dual will run out the back. Brakes and axles have been redone (it was someone's mudder as we found water in parts where there ain't supposed to be water), replaced the hubs (kept manual locking, thought about converting to auto). Transfer case was also fairly shot so that was rebuilt. She sits on 35 BFGs (about the only things that weren't trashed when I got her) and will get a 2 inch lift, just enough to get rid of some tire rub. At the end of the day she'll put out just about 500HP. That's what I can remember of the top of my head for now. I'll post pics when finished. Check my garage for some pics from the day I got her, or search for Old Grey Mare further back in the classics corner. O yeah, dual tanke were there but will prbably swith to the big 38 gall across the back and remove the primary to make the exhaust job easier.

Stay well
