I personally think flatbeds look badass on the late 70s models

Flatbeds are pretty sweet, those trucks are just awesome no matter what they have for a bed.

Beds are scarce around my parts. My 73 has a flat bed on it and I hate it, Check my garage for pics. Id prob just get a bed side from LMCtruck. Im looking for a long bed for the 73 but its a bitch locating a decent one to start with.

well if i decide to put one on i will make my own. and i plan on it being heavy haha... i got a buddy that has one for sale its on a 82 chevy i might just look into that and make new brackets for it... but its for a dually so it might go on the 78 250 but its a heavy piece of work...

Its made out of Solid steel for the frame and supports with wooden planking. I almost thought about hanging new bedsides from the flat bed just for the look of a real one haha. Id get you the measurments but I towed the truck about an hour and half from my house and im not up there often. I can tell you that its about 6 inches wider than the rear axle with tires and about a foot from the rear of the frame.
