I believe the frames are different so you will probably need engine mounts perches from an 80-86 for a 302, do you have a manual or auto tranny? I think you will need the flexplate(automatic trannies version of a flywheel two totally different things) as the 300 and 302 use different flexplates I believe(not sure) if it is auto. The bolt pattern for the trannies are the same obviously.

All trannies for any of 300/302/351W have the same bellhousing bolt pattern. Also yes, the flexplate/flywheels are engine/tranny specific.

Engine mount perches should be from same generation truck you are putting the engine into. I'm pretty sure the 302 block never really changed much throughout it's entire life or at the very least between the years in question.

Mildly built throws up a flag for me. Got to make sure your tranny can handle the power.

Yes, but a mildly built engine is probably already pushing ALOT more ponies than stock. I would recommend a professional tranny rebuild.

That place in the link has great wealth of information re: ignition wiring and upgrades. All to do with TFI module and has links to places with wiring diagrams, part numbers, which vehicles had what and so on and so forth.

Unsure which would link properly so I used the forum link post and also posted the full url. Lol!

Alternator shouldn't change too much from what you have with your current 300, just gotta get the same year accessorie brackets for a 302, or you might luck out and they are interchangeable. Not 100% sure.
