1986 F150 stalling
I just finished my rear gas tank removal and installation of a new tank and it seems like things went pretty well. I replaced the rear tank with a new tank (19 gallon). I had to replace the sending unit as well as the metal tube had a large hole in it that could not be repaired. I dumped 1 can of Seafoam in the tank and about 5 gallons of gas. The fuel gauge showed about 1/2 tank which seemed a bit high. I planned to drive to the gas station and fill up the tank but the truck kept stalling out. It would start easily and idle just fine. I could put it in neutral and hit the gas and it would rev up just fine but when I put it in either reverse or drive and punched the gas it would stall right away. Any ideas of what might be causing this or what I can check?
Thanks,
John
