::I'll push the throttle down and the engine will review but the truck will stay in the same spot and then jolt into gear and keeps going. Not sure if that have anything to do with it.
That sounds like a leaky trans pump. I dont know of any easy test on the intake. Other then pulling it and seeing if theres dirt in it, or marring across the surface.
Im still on the over heating deal. A leaking transmission pump is also symptomatic of over heating. The seals heating over temp and breaking down

I also concur with the over heating..but part of me also wants to say you might have a cat that is starting to become restricted, when those get hot they expand and really choke the motor down, it could cause a hot no start condition, can also cause a 'hoot' noise under the hood when you are trying to accelerate.
