Default 1986 351W flywheel starter problems

Hey everyone. I have owned this 351W 1986 HO 4 brl, c6 tranny truck for a little over a year now. Had to replace the flywheel and starter just after I bought it. Worked perfectly for about 6 months. Then started making loud noise when starting like it was too tight, eventually wearing out the starter head/bendix. Replaced starter, but still the loud noise and wore that starter out in about a month. Checked the flywheel, and did have some wear, not bad but still some wear. So, replaced the flywheel again, and starter. At the first crank still making loud starter noise and wears out starter head in about 3-4 weeks. Well, replaced the flywheel a third time yesterday, even called the manufacturer to make sure the flywheel was the right one, they assured me that it was. New starter, hooked up the battery, cranked her over..... still loud noise UGHHH. A little more info, it does have the flywheel dust cover, did appear to be bent from cranking down the starter, hammered it back straight before putting on the last starter. Tried a spacer from parts store (didn't even know they made such a thing), noise was actually louder, so done away with that. The tranny "may" have been changed for an older tranny, so I tried a Pre 1977 starter, same noise. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas I sure would appreciate the advice. I dont want to keep driving it, although I love this truck bc it is an exact replica of the first truck I bought for myself brand new and risk damaging the new flywheel, they are such a pain to change out. Thanks
