Hey everyone on my 300 L6 I have a single barrel carb that gave out the other day. I thought the single barrel was choking the engine. I had a buddy hook it up with a brand new edelbrock 500 4bbl and hooker headers. Instead of rebuilding the current carb can I put the 500 4bbl on with a matching manifold and a new cam? I just don't want to force too much gas in and drown the block and seize it up. Thanks

 

Yep. Search out a offenhouser or offenhauser (forget the spelling). A 4bbl isnt that uncommon on a 300.
