1985 Ford F150, inline 6, 4 speed manual
So this truck has been running sound since I purchased it in August from the original owner. Recently, ONLY after sitting overnight, it struggles start > battery and starter are strong > but it takes about 6-8 attempts then it turns. Later in the day, it turns over on the first/second attempt???

Choppy sentence hard unnerstan - complete better.
"Start" can mean about 30 different things. I've seen people say that when they can't get the key into the lock cylinder, and when the engine stalls within 3 seconds of running. Be VERY descriptive & specific - what exactly happens that you think shouldn't, and what doesn't happen that you think should? How exactly did you test each one?The key turns? Or the starter spins? Or the engine turns? Or the engine actually RUNS?"Turn over" generally means that the starter is making the engine spin. If that's what you mean, click this & read all the captions in this photo album:

He said battery and starter are strong. So it is assumed won't start as he described but cranks strong. Diagnosing a problem can be achieved so much easier if someone can properly use terms such as crank, start and run.
