1982 alternator wiring

Default 1982 alternator wiring


This is where the one wire is voning in to the alternator but i am missing this other wire and have no idea where it is, the wire i has just goes from the alternator to the alternator regulator
there is a draw coming from this wire, not sure what to do at this point, brand new battery and alternator

What exactly do you mean? How did you test it, and what reading did you get? Is there some problem with the truck that made you change the alternator? Were there 2 wires in that connector before? Clean the wire in the connector, &/or peel back some of its covering farther up, to find the original colors.

I highly recommend you stay OUT of the zone - their parts are garbage, and their employees are NOT mechanics.

Yours appears to be the 100A version of the 1G alternator:
