Your thoughts on Ford's Advanced Analytics Program?
I was on the Early Access Program for BlueCruise, back in February when I received an email saying I was picked to be one of the first for the OTA BlueCruise updates, at the bottom of the email it asked if I would like to join their Advanced Analytics Program. It said it would be for 90 days but I could back out at anytime if wanted. They would track everything I do for the 90 days, it also said they would add features that no one else has to see how I use them, but at the end of the program all added features would be removed.
At first I said yes, yesterday I received an email saying they are ready to start the program on my truck, and what I need to do on my Sync 4 to OK it on my end, but, I’m getting cold feet. Your thoughts?

Aside from obvious bug fixes, user behaviour and software usage will help drive where investments are made. If a feature is poorly used or rarely used, it is likely to get replaced or removed.
In this particular case, I find it highly unlikely that your analytics, telemetry data or stats will be used for anything outside of Ford’s attempt at making its products better.
i work for a software company and I can assure you that most companies who want to track user behaviour and usage telemetry is not to act like big brother but instead to improve the software.

Congrats. One of my gripes is that Ford never asks for my feedback about what I like and dislike about the truck. I'm on my 4th new truck from the same dealer, and considering I'm a DIY type of guy and work in manufacturing I think my feedback would be valuable. I guess they did give me a ridiculously detailed questionnaire about trailer usage on my 2017 but it just wanted usage info, not ideas or opinions. Hopefully they ask you for those. That questionnaire was crazy - it took me most of 20 minutes and they asked about things like panic stops and the bumpiest place I pulled my trailer, even wanting GPS coordinates or flag the spot on a map. Now that data would be collected and transmitted without me even knowing.
